BJC Behavioral Health offers mental health case management, counseling services including dialectical behavior therapy, and telecounseling for adult and children who are deaf or hard of hearing.

We are currently accepting clients from the eastern region, including St. Louis City and County, Jefferson, Franklin, Lincoln, Warren and St. Charles Counties. Telecounseling services are provided to Missouri residents.
We accept Medicare and Medicaid. We will also accept private insurance as an out-of-network provider.

Laura received her master's degree in social work from Washington University, St. Louis. She has worked at BJC Behavioral Health since 1993. Her background is working with hearing, deaf and hard of hearing seriously mentally ill. She has experience in both individual and group dialectical behavior therapy.
Donald Bohnenkamp, MD
Psychiatrist
Dr. Bohnenkamp completed medical school at the University of Nebraska Medical Center, Omaha, and his residency in psychiatry at Barnes-Jewish Hospital and Washington University School of Medicine, St. Louis. He works with adults with mental illness, such as major depressive disorder, bipolar disorder, schizophrenia and drug and alcohol addiction. Dr. Bohnenkamp does both inpatient psychiatry and outpatient clinics at Barnes-Jewish Hospital. He also works in the outpatient clinics at BJC Behavioral Health. Dr. Bohnenkamp studies mental health issues specific to the deaf and has worked with the deaf since 2011.
