Obtaining that level of care within the available fiscal resources is an ongoing challenge requiring cooperation from everyone involved.
- Patients with any form of insurance can have their prescriptions filled at any hospital or community pharmacy, subject to restrictions by their insurer
- Uninsured BJCBH & BHP patients, and those with Medicaid, may have their prescriptions filled at the BJCBH & BHP Pharmacy; prescriptions are filled and mailed within 24 hours of receipt

- The BJCBH Pharmacy keeps a medication profile on all consumers it serves
- Quantities dispensed are limited to the lesser of
- A 30-day supply -- or --
- A supply not to exceed five days past the next scheduled physician appointment
- Refills for appointments more than 30 days apart are mailed in 30-day increments
- The quantity of medication dispensed is based on prescribed directions and adjustments for dosage changes and return dates
- All medication orders are mailed directly to the patient
- Mailing addresses are computerized by identification number; please provide this information with each order:
- Patient name and identification number
- Date of next physician appointment
